Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a global leader in Cloud Computing, is seeking a talented Senior Program Manager to drive impactful cross-functional initiatives and customer engagements. This individual would develop and own mechanisms across the Amazon Connect GTM team.
You must be comfortable working cross functionally, developing clarity from ambiguous data, and demonstrate bias for action. Being able to establish trust with a variety of stakeholders, improve processes, and find creative ways to remove blockers are paramount to success.
The ideal candidate will be fully competent in a variety of program management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, resources, risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.
The Program Manager plays an important role in identifying and prioritizing process improvement opportunities, prescribing strategies, and guiding the improvement effort. You will be responsible for leading and driving process improvements (short-term wins) as well as process design/ redesign (long-term wins) efforts.
This position requires a candidate with proven program ownership to facilitate and guide the application of programs and advanced technology to process improvements.
Change management experience is also necessary because you will be motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment where explosive growth is occurring while achieving impeccable quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
· 3+ years experience applying Lean or Lean Six Sigma methodologies
· 3+ years experience in project management, program management, operations leadership, or operations improvement role
· Technical (Math, Engineering, Science) Bachelors Degree from an accredited university.
· 3+ years of successful leadership experience in project management and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas.
· 3+ years of experience providing training to Executives, Managers, Associates, and Continuous Improvement(CI) champions on Lean, Six Sigma, Agile Scrum, PMP, Change Management and/or similar methodologies.
· Provide metrics inputs to various reporting decks; communicate key performance indicators to stakeholders in support of business objectives; must be comfortable addressing both large and small audiences.
· Lean Sensei, Black Belt, and/or PMP certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Lean and/or Six Sigma certification
· Masters Degree in Operations Research, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
· Prior experience working as a Lean or Operations Excellence leader, delivering business efficiencies
· Experience in process design, including the creation of visual workflow products (e.g., Visio process maps)
· Demonstrated analytical skills; a quantitative background with ability to create tools that synthesize and interpret large volumes of data, and clearly communicate findings
· Experience identifying, analyzing, and solving ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
· Experience successfully influencing senior leaders with written and verbal communications and interfacing with and influencing managers, decision makers, and peers
· Experience leading medium or large teams, with success coaching team members
· Passion for technology, curiosity to dive deep into Amazons suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
· Technical proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visual Basic for Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $115,600-$160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. The pay range for this position in New York City is $127,100 - 185,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
