As a product management leader, you will be part of the larger technical leadership community at AWS. This community forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in broad business planning, works closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire talented teams of product managers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.

This position represents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast-growing business and help shape the business, product offerings, and technology. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and cloud service expertise, strong business acumen and judgment, ability to define visionary, ground breaking products, desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

In this role you will drive and influence the roadmap, build deep understanding of our customers€™ needs, define product requirements, collaborate with engineering and champion the needs of customers. Given the breadth of the service we are building, this role requires coordination across internal AWS teams and external teams. You will work with customers, partners, and operational stakeholders to prioritize road map features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through expertly crafted narratives and working backward documents.

The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills, sound business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams. You have a proven ability executing both strategically and tactically, and are excited to take on a new, ambiguous that will be industry defining. An engineering background is required to effectively communicate and work with engineers. You will be comfortable leading discussions with and gaining support from highly technical cross functional senior leadership. This is a highly strategic position, requiring high levels of collaboration and visibility with teams across AWS and Amazon, and which will impact the direction of AWS productivity applications going forward.

Responsibilities include:
- Work with customers and the leadership team to set strategy, define the product, and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
- Use case prioritization, feature definition, ownership of the product roadmap, and customer segmentation
- Drive broad adoption and provide an unparalleled customer experience. This leader should be experienced with a range of approaches, including: feature development, pricing changes, a range of marketing channels, customer surveys and profiling, sample application, code samples and technical documentation.
- Lead the organization through creation, evolution and sustained growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor€™s Degree in Computer Science or related field required, MBA preferred.
· 7+ years of experience in product strategy, design and development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A solid track record of shipping complex customer-facing enterprise software products on tight deadlines is required.
· Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and align them to a long-term product vision
· Experience leading product development from start to finish, with the ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering
· Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features
· Strong written and verbal communication and persuasion skills
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
· Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements
· Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule trade offs and new opportunities with technical team members
· Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
· Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
· Strong track record of shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large Enterprises or partners
· Experience creating business models, customer and market segmentation, marketing plans, sales support/field marketing, and pricing for SaaS or enterprise software products.
