DESCRIPTION

Job summary
Come change the way the world sees the Cloud! AWS Transfer Family is looking for an innovative Product Manager with a passion to lead new exciting initiatives in the file transfer space and help us take the service to the next level. AWS Transfer Family is a fully managed service supporting file transfers over different file transfer protocols for AWS Storage Services like Amazon S3 and Amazon EFS. AWS Transfer Family helps customers seamlessly migrate file transfer workflows to AWS, freeing them from managing, operating and securing their own file transfer solution. Customers can easily create file transfer endpoints that allow their business partners to securely send files directly to AWS Storage. We are looking for a team member to understand the B2B file transfer and transactional needs of businesses across key verticals and geographies including what new file transfer products, features, and integrations we should build to accelerate onboarding and migration.

As a part of a rapidly growing service team, you€™ll work with customers, cross-functional service teams, partners, marketing, and GTM specialists to prioritize roadmap features, guide marketing plans, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through expertly crafted business requirements documents.

Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while you:

  • Define the customer experience, product features, and business model for the new service
  • Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications and GTM plans
  • Find opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers, building business cases and designing features related to these opportunities
  • Dive into usage patterns, operational dashboards and technical details and ask engineers insightful questions during technical design reviews
Work/Life Balance Our team is focused on balancing life with work, and does this via work autonomy and by prioritizing solutions and processes that enable us to scale faster than the business.

On-Call Responsibility This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six. We don€™t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our products are exceeding customer expectations. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the issue and ensure that root cause is addressed systemically.

Inclusive Team Culture Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon€™s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

Our team is intentional about attracting, developing, and retaining amazing talent from diverse backgrounds. Yes we do get to build a really cool service, but we also think a big reason for that is the inclusive and welcoming culture we try to cultivate every day.

Mentorship and Career Growth Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we€™re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our PMT and other Transfer members truly enjoy mentoring and on-boarding new PMT members through one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, doc reviews.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor€™s degree or equivalent experience in other technical field
  • 4+ years of product management or product development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence engineering and product leaders
  • Verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
