Northrop Grumman Aeroautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal RF Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in our Manned Aircraft Design COE on the E-2 Electronics & Payloads team in Melbourne, FL

The responsibilities of this Senior Principal RF Engineer position would include design, development, integration, and test of airborne RF systems equipment for development, production and fleet/sustainment programs.

**Essential Functions:**

+ As a lead, the candidate will perform system/subsystem requirements analysis/definition/allocation (including trade studies), subsystem design and architecture development, subsystem/hardware acquisition and supplier management, subsystem/hardware test and verification, and system/subsystem integration test
+ The candidate will be responsible for managing supplier activities, including development/execution of new subsystem development and subsystem obsolescence redesign efforts and coordination of upgrades and retrofits, performing review and analysis of supplier design data, definition/execution of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration, and support test execution
+ Perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting RF hardware in the lab and participation in flight test activities and post flight data analysis, along with resolution of flight test anomalies
+ The candidate will perform tasking as the E&P lead and Control Account Manager (CAM) on a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team (IPT); executing tasking to meet customer program/project requirements with responsibility, accountability and authority for that product throughout its life cycle
+ Candidates with experience with modeling using MATLAB or similar software tool, test, and analysis at the system level and component level will be best prepared to perform this role
+ Candidates with experience with technical management of RF equipment suppliers will be best prepared to perform this role
+ The candidate will perform liaison duties to disseminate information to suppliers, responsible engineers (REs), leadership, and other Integrated Product Teams and external customers and clearly communicate technical information through reports and presentations


**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of electronics engineering experience or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology,Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of electronics engineering experience or a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 4 years of electronics engineering experience
+ Familiarity with RF equipment and antenna/sensor subsystems
+ Active In-Scope DoD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted/renewed within the past 5 years
+ This position requires the ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with design, analysis, development and integration of airborne RF equipment and antennas
+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
