The Team: Amazon Physical Stores is building innovative technology solutions that change shopping in physical environments. Amazon Go (Just Walk Out) is a new kind of store with no lines and no checkout. You simply use the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take what you want from our selection and go. Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology. It automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. When youre done shopping, you just leave the store. Shortly after, well charge your Amazon account and send you a receipt. Amazon Dash Cart a new smart shopping cart that makes a quick grocery trip even quicker by allowing you to skip the checkout line. AmazonOne brings palm recognition as new mode of shopping bringing another level of ease to in-store shopper experience.
The Role: Amazon Go is hiring for a Sr. Product Manager Technical to help drive a new initiative to expand the reach and growth of the state of the art physical stores technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the software architecture that empowers Amazon Go store technology to expand to new horizons. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, creative and able to drive solutions in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders. With an eye for extensibility, you will drive our API strategy and standards, identifying new features to build across engineering, data and design to enable expansion while holding a high bar for customer experience. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. You will own a critical area of growth, defining the problem, the desired customer experience, as well as the vision, tenets and product strategy. You will understand the systems and technologies behind your product, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons for architectural decisions, and will influence teams to eliminate architecture problems that stifle innovation or cause customer dissatisfaction. In your role, you will partner with a dedicated software engineering team, UX design, as well as other Amazon product & engineering teams, marketing, PR and legal.
Please Note: This role has a global scope and will require working closely with partners based internationally so some flexibility on taking meetings early morning or evening is expected.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or related fields
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant product management experience
- Strong understanding of software development process with an appreciation for maintaining a high quality bar with low operational overhead
- Show excellent communication skills in written and oral English with the ability to face external and internal customers in a professional and mature manner
- Demonstrate superior project management and troubleshooting skills
- Show an approach that starts from the end customer and then work backwards from there
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, digital measurement technologies, data pipelines
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify and solve ambiguous problem
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience simplifying technical concepts into customer solutions
