Our Cardiac Rhythm Heart Failure (CRHF) business is the largest division within Medtronic which is based here in our Mounds View facility. We offer devices and therapies to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.Our vision is together, we will transform the lives of people with cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

We are hiring a driven and dynamic Sr Physician Relations Manager who will manage a team as well as the process of obtaining strategic customer insights through management of the CRHF and Atrial Fibrillation (AFS) advisory boards, panels, group consultant visits, clinical meetings and summits. This a highly visible role as it interfaces with Physicians/Customers, Sr Business Leaders, as well as cross functional teams. This role will involve leadership and oversight of group consulting meetings process throughout CRHF and AFS, and building and maintaining current and emerging key opinion leader relationships.

**A Day In The Life**

Develops and implements a world class advisory strategy aligned with business and divisional objectives to support the CRHF and AFS strategic initiatives.

Hire, develop and coach members on the team

Work with key business leaders to influence and create appropriate agenda topics for discussion for each advisory meeting.

Work with appropriate subject matter experts to influence and guide their specific feedback sessions.

Manage Advisor communications for meetings and provide direction as to the appropriate internal Medtronic personnel attendees.

Develop and maintain relationships with Medtronic geography leaders to understand customer engagement needs and requirements.

Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on the strategic direction of CRHF and AFS Advisory Meetings including: Needs Assessment activities, oversee the requests for contracts, status tracking, and customer notification.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as senior leadership, marketing, sales, clinical, RD, HER, Quality, Compliance and Regulatory.

Ensure all HCP engagements adhere to the Business Conduct Standards guidelines for group consulting.

Educate internal key stakeholders on Advisory meeting strategy to help drive business objectives and gain alignment.

Develop and maintain relationships with key physician customers in CRHF and AFS.

Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including timely expense reporting, performance tracking, goal setting, etc.

Must possess strong clinical acumen and the ability to build strong relationships with internal functional teams such as Marketing, Clinical, RD, Systems Engineering, etc.

Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures.

Ensures effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channels.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirement**

Bachelors Degree a minimum of 7 years of medical device sales, marketing, education and/or physician relations experience (5 years with Advanced Degree)

Experience managing complex customer-focused programs

Previous people management experience (informal or formal)

Experience working with cross functional teams both internal and external

**Nice to Have:**

Advanced Degree (MBA, MSN, Ph.D., etc)

Proven track record of designing, developing and managing strategic programs in keeping with organizational objectives

Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor and develop staff members

Experience resolving critical issues and make timely, complex decisions

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Financial acumen and experience to understand key financial indicators for the division as well as the company and to evaluate strategic opportunities.

Working knowledge of ACCME, AdvaMed, EUcomed, FDA and ISO requirements
