This is an exciting opportunity where, as a Sr. Market
Development Specialistwithin GIH ((Gastrointestinal
Hepatology a part of MITG Unit) businessyouwill be responsible for driving geographical expansion and market
development of the GIH portfolio within CEMA region (CentralEastern
Europe, Middle East and Africa), by identifying key business growth
opportunities, addressing any unmet internal/ external customer requirements
and providing focus for regional market development strategies. Market Development
Specialists main responsibility is to build a compelling market development
plan for the region, aligned with the regional market development strategy and
drive in-country execution, all in partnership with the internal stakeholders
(commercial teams, product marketing, leadership, disease state or patient
condition marketing, medical affairs).

For this role
you will be expected to be located in Prague, Czech Republic or Bratislava,
Slovakia or Budapest, Hungary.


**A Day in the Life**


**Principal responsibilitiesof GIH Sr. Market Development Specialist** (may include the following and other duties may be assigned) **:**


+ Along with the BUM establishand roll-out the vision, strategy and annual goals and objectives for the GIHbusiness for the CEMA region.

+ Identify key geographies anddevelop a Market Development Plan.

+ Prioritize orchestrateactivities arising from Market Development Plan.

+ Work with the country teamsto provide input on forecast, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinicalevaluations etc.

+ Identify business growthopportunities and unmet customer requirements and provide focus for regionalmarket development strategies.

+ Develop marketing knowledgeand analysis.

+ Analyse all relevantexternal/ internal information to develop strategies to improve sales, decreasecost and increase market share for all key GIH product lines.

+ Develop and manage regionalKOLs using relationships to ensure customer needs are met by distributors.

+ Gain a good customerunderstanding.

+ Develop and implementcustomized in-country strategies.

+ Leverage cross-functionalresources.

+ Work with the regional GIHand EMEA Market Development team to build robust plans to overcome barriers toadoption of our technologies.

+ Build and roll out campaignsto convert customers and increasing utilization.


**Must Haves and Nice to Haves:**


**Must haves:**


+ Bachelors degree in a business relevant discipline

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in a Sales / KeyAccount Management or Market Development role in the Medical Devices industry

+ Fluency in English and local residence language

+ Excellent presentation, project management andcommunication skills

+ Ability to coordinate project groups

+ Strong track record of success and achievement

+ Results driven and focused

+ Experience of working in a matrix structure

+ Market Analysis: Solid understanding of in countrycustomer competitive landscape and relevant market trends affecting hisassigned disease state / related procedures.

+ Customer Understanding: Strong ability to translatecustomer data into meaningful marketing insight, proficiency in segmentationtargeting and definition of stakeholder specific value propositions.

+ Business Financial Acumen: Possesses in depthdisease state procedural understanding, understands pricing impact onprofitability, uses appropriate metrics to measure performance of assigneddisease state related procedures.

+ Account Execution Excellence: Proficient in developingaccount strategies and tailoring the development of new offerings towards thetarget customers segments.

+ Commercial Enablement: Can create alignment within thecommercial sales team and thus optimize market effectiveness for the diseasestate related product portfolio, proactively manages demand planningforecasting.

+ Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70% of time).
