**JOB DUTIES:**

**Sr. Manufacturing Engineer forMedtronic, Inc., at its facility in Brooklyn Center, MN. Responsible for theevaluation, improvement, and coordination of manufacturing areas which provideimplantable components to finished devices. Interacts closely with operations,process development, quality, and regulatory affairs. Monitor and improvesmedical device manufacturing lines for electrical and hermetic tests, laser andresistance welding, coiling, and battery assembly processes in clean roomenvironment. Perform statistical analysis, Gage R R, ANOVA, CapabilityNormality Assessments. Utilize CFI and PFMEA. Characterizing processesusing various quality tools available in Minitab JMP including DOE(Design of Experiment), SPC (Statistical Process Control), hypothesis testing,regression modelling and capability studies to measure, monitor, improve andcontrol manufacturing. Create SPC charts and OCAP (Out of Control Plan) forcritical processes. Utilize SQL or Business Objects to retrieve and analyzeproduction data from production database. Navigate through production issues,non-conforming products, root cause analysis and product disposition.Coordinate all CAPA (Corrective and Preventative action) activities. Utilizelean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies and incorporate GMP (GoodManufacturing Practices) 8D Problem Solving and DMAIC Problem Solving to reducewaste in production and improve process capability. Coordinating and executingtechnical projects related to product scrap reduction, cost reduction and laborefficiency improvement.** **Multiplepositions available.**


**REQUIREMENTS:**

**Requires a Mastersdegree in Manufacturing, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and two (2) yearsof experience with product manufacturing and two (2) years of post-bachelorsprogressive experience in all the following: Electronic device manufacturing orelectrical systems manufacturing or plastics manufacturing; Performing statisticalanalysis of Gage R R, ANOVA and Capability Normality Assessments;With PFMEA; Characterizing processes using quality tools available in Minitabor JMP including DOE, SPC, hypothesis testing and capability studies tomeasure, monitor, improve and control manufacturing processes; Creating SPCcharts and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP) for critical processes; SQL orBusiness Objects for production data analysis; Navigating production issues,non-conforming products, root cause analysis and product disposition; Leanmanufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, incorporating GMP (GoodManufacturing Practices), 8D Problem Solving and DMAIC Problem Solving;Projects related to product scrap reduction, cost reduction and laborefficiency improvement**
