AWS Training - Sr Manager, Product Management

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Training & Certification Team as a Manager for a growing Training Product Management team. We strive to develop the right training content that allows our customers to utilize AWS technology to create new opportunities, address business challenges, and optimize their existing capabilities. This role will require strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills to engage internal and external stakeholders in order to define the most effective, high quality training curriculum. To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated, creative, and a self-starter who is able to think big, execute, yet stay focused on the details.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage and support a team of Product Managers focused on the development and ratification of domain, segment, and industry-aligned learning strategy and outcomes
· Demonstrate and cultivate thought leadership for training product strategies
· Advocate and ensure a data-driven and balanced approach comprised of customer, market, and internal inputs, business metrics, and models used to inform curriculum strategy and direction
· Work cross-functionally to identify optimization opportunities across multiple training portfolios
· Participate in the definition and development of €œlearning experience and content frameworks€ that can be productized, are reusable, and support domain-based customizations
· Drive quarterly active management and refinement of training product roadmap backlog including facilitating prioritization exercises to identify critical release goals
· Oversee active projects, support the management of multiple projects concurrently, monitor activity, progress and time related to project completion
· Support launch, go to market, and marketing activities through active coaching and lifecycle engagement
· Support post launch activities including feedback reviews, CSAT analysis, and the incorporation of feedback into follow-on portfolio activities
· Drive quarterly portfolio and roadmap reviews with critical stakeholders
· Develop and refine cross-discipline domain training product strategies
· Possess and maintain working knowledge of curriculum design and development in cloud services-based context, understanding and use of learning modalities, personas, learner segments, and participate in the ideation and development of supplemental or alternate training approaches
· Develop & maintain knowledge of training and certification best practices and support alignment of training curriculum that to support appropriate skills development
· Support the hiring and development of product managers and supporting team roles
· Develop, refine, and optimize product lifecycle standards and practices and frameworks tools used by the team members
· Maintain the training product roadmap and timeline to ensure all product requirements are being met
· Ensure progress of projects and that project status and other critical updates related to project progress are communicated to multiple stakeholders
· Define and utilize tools and processes to define and validate requirements, communicate product vision to stakeholders, improve relevance of offerings and speed to market
· Scope, quote and close custom content opportunities with third party vendors when applicable
· Travel required for team meetings, events, and shows as required; estimated at 25%.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree
· 8+ years of experience managing a product management or curriculum development team focused on cloud-based technical training [e.g. performance management, coaching, resource management, employee development]

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience managing all phases of the product lifecycle process including: Research/Analysis, Product Definition, Product Development, Launch, Product Performance
· Experience defining curriculum product strategies working with internal and external stakeholders
· Experience with curriculum development processes and modular courseware development
· Experience with multiple learning modalities [e.g. eLearning, video, hands-on-labs, ILT, Virtual ILT, gaming/gamification]
· Experience with complex technical scenarios and strategies for hands on lab activities to support validation of learning
· Experience working with content regionalization and localization requirements
· MBA Preferred
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
