**Position Description:**


The Senior Manager of Commercial Excellence (CE)
and Clinical Product Specialists (CPS) serves a strategic role in a
high-growth commercial organization, reporting to the Director of Commercial
Operations.Direct reports include
both individual contributors as well as managers.As leader of the CE department, the role is
responsible for driving behaviors in the sales organization that accelerate
top-line growth, enable strategy execution, and increase talent retention.As leader of the CPS team, the role is
responsible for enabling market development in partnership with the sales
teams through the development of customer clinical and technical
competencies.


**Position Responsibilities:**


**PeopleManagement**


Build
and maintain high-performance teams by attracting, developing and retaining
top talent.


Set
direction and manage activities, deliverables, and deadlines of direct
reports to meet strategic business needs.


Hold
weekly one-on-ones with direct reports.


Provide ongoing feedback to direct reports.


Facilitate the Medtronic annual performance management
process, including regular professional development conversations.


**DepartmentManagement**


Develop and lead department vision
and strategy that aligns to the GIH, RGI, and MITG strategic blueprints.


Establish a culture of
performance and execution, supported by the Medtronic Tenets.


Develop and maintain strong
partnerships across all functions of the GIH business, with considerable
focus given to commercial and marketing leaders and managers.


Maintain awareness of and
connection to relevant Medtronic functions outside of GIH.


Effectively lead in the
communication, support, and execution of business processes and procedures.


**Basic Qualifications:**


**Education Required**


Bachelors Degree Required


**Years of Experience**


7+ years of relevant experience


5+ years of relevant experience with advanced degree


**Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required**


Instructional design/learning and development principles


Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and to work in a matrix environment


Awareness and application of strategy and problem-solving frameworks


+ Ability to work independently and lead others remotely

+ Good computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word


**Desired/Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:**


Medtech sales or marketing experience


Management or supervisory experience


Professional education and training experience


Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels in business


Strong organization and time management skills


Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
