This position can be a Sr. Cyber Defense Technologist I or Sr. Cyber Defense Technologist II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. US Citizenship is required as this positon needs an US Security Clearance .

Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) is looking for talented and qualified individuals to join our team of Cyber Systems Administrators working to actively assess and secure our development environments. This position is part of the Cybersecurity group within IT Security charged with centralized global monitoring, proactive network defenses, with rapid incident response to mitigate threats against Raytheon's enterprise network. The Cyber Systems Administrator will provide hands on security and systems administration within manufacturing and engineering work environments. This role will work closely with members of IT Security, Engineering, and Operations to support large mission critical development, manufacturing, and sustainment programs.

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and act as a subject matter expert as it relates to the safety, availability, integrity, and confidentiality of industrial control systems (ICS)
Provide system administration support including but not limited:

Configuring and managing PCs located in engineering and manufacturing areas, to include troubleshooting/repairing, and installing new software applications
Performing weekly/monthly anti-virus and system patching for Windows/Linux based operating systems
Coordinating software/hardware installation and upgrades
Troubleshooting and repairing PC/network problems

Implement a cyber-secure focused method to design, deploy, and proactively monitor and maintain devices, systems, applications, interconnections, and protocols for safety, performance, inventory, compliance, logging, alerting, patching/updating, backup and restoration capabilities, incident response, and investigation for Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) devices
Perform security reviews to identify security vulnerabilities and develop processes to mitigate risk
Directly support response teams with investigation, resolution and closure of ICS cyber incidents
Initiate corrective action and reporting related to security incidents, violations, and insider threats
Establish and support standards, requirements, projects and continuous improvements in secure IT/OT integration for production, automation and engineering teams, ensuring safety, functionality, and security best practices in new systems and system interconnect designs
Collaborate with business unit and Enterprise level IT / OT personnel to research and mitigate present and emerging security alerts and risks to IT/OT/IIOT applications, systems, and networks
Off hours, weekends or holidays work may be required at times to support projects based on business need or requirements
Domestic and International travel required as needed

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Familiarity with networking to include but not limited to network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP), switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operations
Patch management experience using Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other tool
User experience with administrating Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Multi-factor and/or Host-based technologies (e.g. ArcSight, Splunk, TFA, HBSS)
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux software applications and other OT software applications, as required
Strong technology troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues, develop solutions and document a variety of technical problems
Basic Windows and/or Linux scripting experience
Ability to obtain one security certification within 6 months of hire date: Security+, CISSP, CISA, GIAC, CISM, or equivalent
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment .

Preferred Qualifications:

An active DoD Top Secret Clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
Prior experience supporting test equipment or Operational technology in manufacturing or engineering environment
VMWare systems administration and configuration is desired.
Hands on experience with Python and Powershell scripting is desired
Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, and/or DoD/RMF
