\rReporting to the Engines and Power Systems New Product Sourcing (NPS) Director; this position indirectly manages a large propulsion growth program relative to hardware procurement, supply chain strategy and long-term contracting, along with indirect management of Buyers and Supplier Program Manager resources. The selected candidate will be linked directly to the Integrated Program Team (IPT) responsible for executing and meeting all new product development requirements and milestones.
\rKey Responsibilities
\r- \r
- Manage the program MOS relative to key program procurement metrics and drive corrective actions to improve performance. \r
- Ensure capable and strategic growth suppliers are identified and engaged early in the development phase to drive product improvements, cost reduction and engine performance. \r
- Partner with the commodity teams to ensure supply base growth strategies are supported and incorporated into the development learning cycle. \r
- Drive synergy across buyers and to ensure product demand is in place, orders are placed on time and any past due situations are quickly remedied \r
- Support critical supplier resolution and remediation along with onsite visits. \r
- Ensure part contracting is executed according to plan. \r
- Manage hardware delivery issues and support quality root cause corrective as appropriate. \r
- Ensure MRP system alignment to engineering hardware delivery dates, as well as peripheral hardware tracking applications. \r
- Ensure product is transitioned into production seamlessly. \r
- Primary focal for program escalations relative to sourcing and procurement objectives. \r
- Ensure indirect reports are managing hardware delivery schedules and accelerating deliveries as required. \r
- Ensure key milestones are met including parts on contract, First Engine to Test, Safety of Flight and Qualification hardware availability. \r
- Translate sourcing strategies into actionable plans at a program level and translate program needs back into sourcing strategies. \r
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support triage activities, which includes support of core/non-core, make/buy, build-to-print versus build-to specification, and critical/non-critical part identification if required. \r
- Lead all aspects of ESE (Early Supplier Engagement) for identified critical parts on each assigned program; includes on site Supplier Engineering meetings on supplier feedback on HON design (affordability, produce-ability) \r
- Manage onsite visits and ensure MOS is in place to provide meaningful feedback. \r
YOU MUST HAVE
\r- \r
- Bachelors degree \r
- 5+ years experience in program/project management \r
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due contractual requirements \r
WE VALUE

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Program Management, Manufacturing Operations or Supply Chain \r
- 3+ years working directly within SAP MRP system \r
- Masters degree in related field of study \r
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification \r
- Lean expert or Six Sigma Black belt \r
- Experience working for a Global Aerospace Company \r
- Professional in Microsoft Office Applications \r
- Lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others \r
- High level of business acumen \r
