A challenging global position within Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) that allows for experiences in FP&A activities and reporting within a global environment.  This role will support organizational efforts in identifying global capital planning and reporting solutions, as well as being a key player in developing process improvements.  This position maintains close working relationships with multiple functional areas across all of Abbott Nutrition (AN), including all global mfg. facilities and Abbott Nutrition International (ANI), as well as up the organization with directors and VP levels within AN.

Key Job Activities:

  • Lead, direct, maintain, coordinate, and consolidate Abbott Nutrition’s global Plan for Plan/LBEs for Global Capital Expenditures and Project Expense.

    • Responsibility for leading quarterly rolling LBE process for Project Expense.  Includes coordinating deadlines, outlining process, and communicating with multiple locations to consolidate Global forecast.

      • Maintain and develop SharePoint site for actuals reporting and forecasting Project Expense and develop process improvements on improving PE forecast accuracy – set up and lead monthly group meetings on performance and variance causals with global AN locations.

        • Responsibility for leading the development of the Annual Plan/LBEs for Division Engineering/EHS organization.  Coordinate deadlines, reviews and submissions.

          • Coordinate month end close activities with external shared service group for Global Project Expense and Division Engineering budget performance.  Analyze variances and causal factors and provide report for management on performance metrics.

            • Coordinate the process of developing Engineering time charge-out plan, as a part of the Annual Plan, and ensure timely tracking against Plan commitments monthly.
            • Monthly MBR metrics posting for Tech Services for financials.
            • Monthly Reporting of Global Project Expense and Capital Expenditures vs. benchmarks with commentary and analysis.

              • SAP Project System project analysis on project spending and commitments made.

                Skills/Experience Requirements

                Basic Qualifications:

                A self-starter and highly motivated with attention to detail.  The candidate must possess strong analytical and communication (oral and written) skills plus have an ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must be able to handle multiple competing priorities.  The job will entail regular communication and coordination with various directors across the multiple functions and locations around the world for AN.

                To be truly effective, the role must be able to operate independently with significant interfaces across functions, groups, and business units, balancing demands from a variety of customers with potentially conflicting goals.  Must be able to communicate effectively up and down the organization and across the functional areas.
                 

                Advanced use of Microsoft Office Applications, with a specific focus on Excel, working knowledge of SAP/Symphony and Host Analytics Applications and Data Analytics tools such as Power BI preferred. A minimum of 4-6 years combined finance experience in the following areas: FP&A, Accounting, and/or Capital Planning.

                Education Requirements:

                Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business Administration, Finance concentration. MBA preferred, but not required.
