A Day in the Life


The Sr. Director for MITGs Respiratory, Gastrointestinal Informatics (RGI) will direct the Business Units manufacturing quality management program including implementation and maintenance of quality management principles and tools to promote continuous improvement of systems, product and service quality in the areas of Operations Quality, Supplier Quality and regulatory compliance. Establish and maintain quality systems to ensure conformance with international and local requirements.


Responsibilities


Define and gain executive support for the Business Units manufacturing quality management program including the quality system, quality programs and procedures.


Accountable that the company is operating in accordance with applicable standards and regulations and maintains associated certifications and positive audit results.


Accountable for effective quality processes including procedures, documentation systems, tools, metrics and measurable improvements that are required to meet quality system standards.


Accountable for escalating any unresolved violations, non-conformances or concerns.


Provide guidance and direction on procedures and requirements for meeting applicable regulations and standards.


Provide decision and judgment on quality issues pertaining to risk acceptability.


Provide oversight to internal audits on process, CAPA, and proper document and record control as related to manufacturing operations.


Interact with government agencies, healthcare organization, and medical professionals.


Provide communication, guidance and direction to the teams on government related requirements.


Manage all employee related activities (i.e., hires, training, appraisals, rewards, motivation, and disciplines).


Must Have: Minimum Requirements


Bachelors degree


Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or Advanced Degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience


Nice to Have


Multi-location management experience


Working knowledge of US and international regulations and standards


Experience working in a matrix organizational structure


Experienced with application of applicable quality standards in a government regulated healthcare industry


Ability to quickly grasp technology, medical applications, and applicable regulations/standards


Ability to create and effectively communicate regulations/standards. Ability to positively influence groups across an organization to embrace a common philosophy


Ability to manage and execute on multiple, critical projects simultaneously. Strong ethics to escalate issues in the face of competing corporate priorities
