Sr. Business Analyst, Fraud

Fraud when a customers credit card or personal information is stolen is a defining and increasingly frequent moment in our customers financial lives. According to Experian, in 2017 alone 14 million credit card numbers and 158 million social security numbers were exposed. We on the Fraud Digital Products team seek to prevent fraud from happening to our customers, and, if it does, to turn a frustrating and frightening moment into an affirming one. Our current products include Fraud Two-Way Alerts, Card Lock, Digital Fraud & Disputes Reporting, and the Fraud Resolutions Decisioning Engine.

As the Senior Business Analyst for Fraud Digital Products, you use data to ensure that our team is building the right experiences and creating tangible business value. You own our KPIs and obsess over changes in our metrics. You turn analysis into insight: about our customers, our products, and the opportunities we should be pursuing. You excel at communicating those insights in dashboards, slides, Slack messages, and presentations and influencing the priorities of product managers and business leaders.

Successful analysts are great team players who embrace the lean startup methodology. Collaborating with our product, design, and tech partners, you generate hypotheses, design and implement tests, and measure the results. You love learning from the cycle of iterative testing and the millions of customers worth of data youll have access to in this role.

  • Conduct analysis daily using SQL/Python/Excel and automating your work with tools like Databricks/Tableau whenever possible
  • Develop business & product strategy based on your analytical findings, supporting the work of our product, tech, & design teams
  • Present your findings regularly to partner teams and senior leaders
  • Build relationships & find opportunities for partnership across diverse teams and functions
  • Empower and mentor other team members to be great analysts, with future opportunities for people management

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in analysis 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of experience in SQL
  • 1+ years of experience in consulting and/or product management
