Sr. Associate - Process Management - Credit Review

The Credit Review organization at Capital One is tasked with monitoring credit quality and assuring credit business practices adhere to Credit Policy, Standards, and Procedures for our internal and external stakeholders. Within Credit Review, our Central Services team, a horizontal support team, is looking to hire a goal- and results-driven individual who will help manage and improve a number of existing business processes. This organized, detail-oriented individual will provide horizontal support to influence critical work across the Credit Review team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Day to day oversight of multiple processes: monitor, report, and plan process improvement opportunities or redesign initiatives; define, establish, and manage process controls; make recommendations for approval on changes.
  • Resolve complex problems or transactions: interpret issues against policies, guidelines or processes; escalate breakdowns in the process by asking the right questions; identify/ involve the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns.
  • Manage formal documents: manage and create documents for processes (e.g. procedures, deliverable schedules, and diagrams) and projects (creating project plans and presentations)
  • Collaborate on larger organization-wide initiatives: represent department interests on broader initiatives; participate in cross-functional project teams, including projects driven by other parts of the organization, to provide input, liaise with training, and partner with groups on execution efforts.
  • Act as a consultant for the processes they manage: provide customer service and training to internal customers; may deliver presentations, including up to the executive level.
  • May perform process or parts of the process as needed

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Has the ability to engage in and manage multiple processes successfully and seamlessly
  • Has the ability to identify and clearly communicate opportunities for process improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Military experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • At least two years of experience in Business Process Management or Project Management or Risk Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
