Cambridge Medical Center, located just north of the Twin Cities metro area in Cambridge, Minn., provides comprehensive health care services in both a hospital and large multi-specialty clinic. With 800 employees, 66 physicians and 86 licensed beds, Cambridge Medical Center serves medical, surgical, specialty care, high-risk neo-natal care, substance abuse, mental health and wound care patients. Outpatient care includes same day clinic and surgery, infusion therapy, eye clinic, optical shop and retail pharmacy. Cambridge Medical Center is also a certified Virginia Piper Cancer Institute® and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute location.

 

Responsibilities

  • To provide evaluation and treatment to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing problems
  • Educate patients, families and community
  • Consult with physicians and various health care professionals
  • Participate on interdisciplinary health care teams
  • Use appropriate documentation
  • Serve on health care committees as assigned and contribute to program development

Education

  • Master’s degree (MA or MS) in Communication Disorders / Speech-Language Pathology

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • ASHA/MSHA membership desirable
  • Clinical expertise and experience in areas that compliment the needs of the department and current staff
  • Continued education that expands current knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology

Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills / customer focus
  • Good organizational / time management skill
  • Good problem solving / judgement skills

Licensure/Certifications

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association
  • Title registration from the State of Minnesota
  • If position requires travel between facilities- must have a current and valid drivers license

Work Schedule

Flexible work schedule - 20 hours per week
