**Providence is calling a Specialty Scheduling Coordinator - Weight Loss Services (1.0 FTE, Day) to in Portland, OR**
Schedule Details: Five, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, No weekends
$1,500 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehires and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

We are seeking a Specialty Scheduling Coordinator - Weight Loss Services that will schedule office and hospital services for patients including scheduling appointments with external providers or ancillary departments to ensure coordinated care for patients.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
+ Coordinate the referral management process; which includes responding to provider referral calls, determining and relaying benefit information as it relates to referral processing
+ Obtain pre-certification/authorization from insurance companies, including extensions requested by physicians
+ Schedule and cordinate patient appointments and medical procedures with internal and external providers or ancillary departments/clinics as identified by provider with appropriate documentation
+ Operate multi-line telephone system; route calls and responds to general inquiries
+ Verify patient registration and ensure all information is current and accurate
+ Provide excellent customer service and serve as point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone
+ Identify, communicate and implement opportunities to improve workflows
+ Manage work queues
+ **With additional training**
+ Greet incoming patients, obtains initial vital signs (Height, Weight, BP, Pulse, Respirations) and in accordance with predefined metrics
+ Document pertinent patient care information
+ Prepare rooms for new patients
+ Stocks room supplies and carts
+ Utilize and maintain supplies to minimize waste
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position includes:**
+ Two (2) years of working experience in a medical clinic, office setting or administrative setting
+ Extensive and excellent customer service experience
**Preferred qualifications for this position includes:**
+ Epic or other EMR
+ Specialty clinic experience
+ Working knowledge of CPT & ICD10 codes
