Specialist Social Media Influencer Communication

What you'll do

Influencing social media is a major part of our strategic communication. You will build and execute an English language, outcome-based social media influencer plan and program for Cisco in EMEAR.

In this role, you will be helping to tell our narrative through different influencer communication strategies. You will deeply understand our narrative and business goals to drive and execute the right influencer communications strategy. With an eye for content and design, you will develop creative initiatives to tell our key narratives; and, youll select, onboard, develop and manage influencers, so they receive relevant content that helps drive our story across our English language, EMEAR social media channels. You will then track, measure and report on results.

In particular, you will:

  • Develop multi-market influencer strategies and content as a creative way to drive and amplify our narrative and inspire our audience for maximum engagement
  • Select, onboard and manage our influencers by market and segment to ensure high quality output, content creation, respect of timelines etc.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop innovative and creative influencer communications programs
  • Create high-quality content that is on-brand and performs well with influencers
  • Own social media influencer analytics
  • Constantly monitor and report on performance to understand program effectiveness, influencer activity and make adjustments where needed
  • Cross-functional collaborate with our headquarters, marketing and the business to create and share content through our different social platforms
  • Develop strong relationships with influencers and maintain an up-to-date database
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and keep track of rates, usage rights etc.
  • Monitor influencer budget


Who youll work with

You will become part of a world-class communications team that is driven by a common purpose to make Cisco more trusted and relevant than any other technology company. The closely connected team is based across EMEAR and brings together a diverse way of thinking and applying communications to ensure that we never stand still.

Youll work in close partnership with the in-country communications managers, as well as regional senior business leaders and marketing. Also, youll constantly and proactively prioritise and manage information flows between the global headquarter and the regional communications team.

You revel in being part of a high-performing team that works in a fast-paced organisation; yet you are self-motivated, driven, happy to take the initiative and work with minimum guidance.

You are a passionate, ambitious communicator with a never-ending hunger and curiosity for stories. Youll understand the business and technology, so that you can design the most relevant communications plan to support the business and shape external influencers perceptions, opinions and behaviours at the same time.

You have an eye for detail and know how to drive impactful external communication campaigns that often have tight deadlines. You are an influencer yourself, relationship builder, comfortable working virtually across multiple geographies and collaborating closely with colleagues across region, functions and in HQ.

Your key skills and experience

  • Two to five years experience as a social media influencer in a global company.
  • Great analytical skills to produce insightful reports and you have the confidence to present actionable recommendations to the team.
  • Strong project management experience ideally managing micro-influencer communication initiatives across a number of social media platforms.
  • Ability to develop and sustain multi-market relationships with a pro-active and supportive approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media channels latest products, features and functionalities.
  • Experience using social management and insight tools.
