Job Description:

Qualified individual must have a strong background developing and delivering training materials.  Candidate must have working knowledge of training processes and terminology. The individual will be responsible for the generation and delivery of operations and maintenance training for aircraft mission systems.  Individual must fully understand, articulate, and convey details of the mission system components and functionality to students using the terminology, jargon and conventions that the students are accustomed to. Candidate are responsible for delivering training materials in classroom, Systems Integration Lab, and aircraft environments.

Define needs for new courses and curriculum by completing training needs analysis utilizing contractual documents and customer inputs. Recommend most effective instructional methods for delivery of material including classroom and e-learning. Design all student and instructor materials including lesson plans, and presentation materials for instructor and students.  Also must develop and deliver hands-on exercises for product training courses. Partner with program managers, engineering teams, instructors and other relevant team members in order to define the priorities for curriculum /courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Coordination and scheduling of course development activities (both internal and external production) and timeline tracking to ensure timely development. Maintain detailed documentation of completed training programs including attendee's dates, test scores etc. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience in Instructional Technology 

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous experience on VC-25, C-20, C-32, C-37, or C-40 Platforms as an operator or maintainer.
    • Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles.
    • Demonstrated expertise in training materials that contain operational procedures, system descriptions, test procedures, and repair procedures.
    • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical wiring diagrams to support course development.
    • Work within defined budgets while meeting schedule deadlines.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with program personnel, internal customers, and external customers, and all management levels.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications.

      Preferred Additional Skills:

      • Framemaker
      • Adobe Captivate
      • DOD training certificate (Master Trainer, ABIC, etc.) 

        Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance which requires US citizenship.
