Space Planning Analyst (CPG)

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide for space management functions on the assigned categories at the assigned customers. 



  • Capture required product images, item data, and key attributes according to Acosta requirements
  • Provide space planning and section merchandising on the assigned categories at the assigned customers. This includes basic analysis of financial data at both the account and market level.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of client/customer specific reporting that measures performance against strategies and objectives.
  • Developing and insuring that planograms meet both the Customers and Clients visual standards, all the while increasing space for brands represented by Acosta based on sales performance.
  • Set up and run team meetings to discuss customer/client needs and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain and update all plan-o-grams for assigned categories and/or sections for assigned customers
  • Attend client/customer meetings as requested and routinely visit customers in the market to make recommendations regarding shelf merchandising.
  • Responsible for accuracy of end results that may require analyzing data for completeness, format and conformity dealing with limited instruction and often directly with syndicated data companies and IT or other vendor sources.
  • Perform user-acceptance-testing for space management tools.


  • Must have 2 3 years of industry level experience or an Associates Degree
  • Knowledge in Blue Yonder(JDA), Spaceman, or Symphony EYC Space Management Software Preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Understanding key metrics within common syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, etc.)
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate relevant information.
  • Identifies and leverages relevant data to diagnose situations and identify potential solutions.
  • Able to effectively and independently conduct data mining utilizing CPG math concepts and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills is preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and be willing to take ownership in your responsibilities and as well as your career path.
