Purpose and Objective: 


SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Solution Manager at our San Ramon, CA location (and various client sites nationwide) to support the team and responsible for executing on product strategy especially in the area of IoT and IoT connectivity (essential).


Expectations and Tasks:


Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Work within an agile engineering team to define strategy, goals and scope and delivery of the area of responsibility. Accountable for delivering on the product roadmap.  Focus on solutioning and value advising, provide expert consultation of business processes across landscape of messaging and end consumer/device engagement offerings including development of business cases with quantified monetary benefits that help create a value-based strategy for technology sale. Support the off-engagement efforts that directly correlate to the Thought Leadership infusion necessary to pivot to client centric/business outcome selling motions across Distribution. Develop value-based client strategies, partnered with quantified monetary benefits where necessary, in support of additional customer platform consumption. Apply value-selling methodology, benchmarks, and tools to deliver comprehensive value proposition across multiple client stakeholders in the context of their business outcome objectives. Support and guide on relevant thought leadership topics that relate to the SAP Digital Interconnect solution portfolio, with an eye for extension across SAP overall. Create strong, valuecentric customer relationships that pave the way for Value Realization through the customer lifecycle as a bi-product to connect to other value programs. Support of the overall growth of this practice as a Distribution selling motion. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and 7 years of experience required.  The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.


Work Experience:


Experience must involve 5 years in the following:  Enterprise integration specifically with supply chain, ERP, and other planning systems, SAP Knowledge essentials and other desirables; Solution architecture, Product management and Product definition - including knowledge of agile processes and tools like JIRA; and Industry and market opportunity analysis and sales/presales support including GTM. Experience should also include 2 years in the following: IoT Connectivity protocols and IoT Software stack (including sensors); and SMS, Mobility protocols and Mobility platform. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
