Abbott is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Digital Solutions Delivery team.
The role is focused on supporting Digital Health solutions with Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals business.  As a Digital Solutions Architect you will play a critical role in the delivery of best in class consumer experiences that drive improved health outcomes. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for solution architecture and system design for a Digital Health solutions across health consumer & provider digital channels, health information management, and analytics.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and implement contemporary architectures for digital health consumer engagement  & analytics capable of meeting a continuously changing industry, market, and regulatory environment to support Abbott’s digital transformation
  • Translating business requirements into specific system architectures through to design
  • Technical leadership skills in driving architecture, bring insight to technical trade-offs & decisions, and driving technical best practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Abbott’s digital and data engineering capabilities
  • Create system level design and detailed technical architecture documents.
  • Investigate and develop new best practices and methodologies
  • Provide leadership and hands-on technical direction to deliver world class customer experiences
  • Tool and technology rationalization & selection. Drive standardization and reuse of industry leading technology across the organization

    Education/ Experience  
    • Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in delivering IT solutions in an enterprise digital landscape
    • Minimum 4 years of experience with Agile SCRUM development
    • Minimum 4 years of digital marketing, web design, mobile or interactive media. Digital product delivery experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of data engineering experience with big data integration & event driven architectures, business rules, or IoT architectures
    • Experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices in areas not limited to: Health consumer experience, PaaS/IaaS/SaaS models, identity management, web content management, digital asset management, mobile application architectures, social engagement, event bus, web services, tag management, SEO/SEM, personal health record systems, and regulated environments
    • Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross functional programs
    • A strong background in technical design / architecture
    • The candidate should possess Enterprise CMS knowledge with either Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SDL Tridion and/ or Sitecore
    • A solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and contemporary design patterns/practices
    • The candidate must have knowledge in Java, .NET Framework, or strong background in Scala/C#/Node.js/C++
    • Experience in 2 or more of the following web technologies (Angular.js, Node.js, React, HTML5, CSS, ASP.net, Spring, REST or other)
    • Applied knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure design
    •  Applied knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and best practices
    • Applied knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services, and/or Microsoft Azure is highly desired
