The Cardiac and Vascular Group
brings all our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one
cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of
our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the
needs of customers and patients across the globe.

This position will lead a
software development team in their day to day development activities, provide
project planning, scheduling and tracking, and help drive functional excellence
in project execution for the Software organization. The candidate must be
self-driven, with strong understanding of project management, the Software
Development Lifecycle process and strong technical and leadership skills.

Day in the life:

+ Manage the performance test function:

+ Oversee systemperformance lifecycle and identify key metrics for performance improvements.

+ Evaluate systemperformances and recommend improvements.

+ Generateperiodic performance reports for management review.

+ Lead a team ofsoftware developers who:

+ Perform loadtests to validate system performance and stability.

+ Analyze testsresults and work with Developers and Engineers to perform bug fixes.

+ Providetechnical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability.

+ Responsible forproject planning including identifying requirements, developing work plans,managing project budgets, building project schedules, and partnering with teammembers to determine and communicate functional and/or resource requirements.

+ Own and Manageexecution against an aggressive but achievable project plan, provideproject-related work direction to team members, work with peer projectmanagers/cross functional program team members to monitor dependencies andensure that critical program milestones and deliverables are met.

+ Communicateproject status and issues to the Program Core Team as appropriate.Proactively manage project quality, risks, and issues.

+ Provide projectteam members with a clear vision and purpose for the project. Create a positivetone and morale for the team. Motivate team members and build projectteam identity and cohesion. Ensure cross-discipline coordination andcommunication.

+ Participate inbusiness strategy development and execution.

+ Facilitatescross functional project related decision making.

+ Contribute tothe advancement of the software organization by driving ideas for processimprovement in project planning, project management and the overall productdevelopment process

+ Provide inputfor setting team members performance objectives and provide feedback to directreports about performance against project deliverables and corecompetencies. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members asappropriate.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

**Nice to Have**

+ Previous experience managing a performance test function in a softwareorganization.

+ Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering on projects in amatrix environment

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

+ Ability to manage geographically distributed teams

+ Track record of effective vendor management to deliver results

+ Prior experience leading the development of FDA Class I, II and III MedicalDevice systems

+ Experience working in regulated environments and delivering new products incompliance with global regulatory standards

+ PMP Certification

+ Medical Device Industry or related experience.

+ Masters in software/computer engineering or MBA
