Software Engineer II

Raytheon Technologies is currently searching for a Software Engineer. The successful candidates primary role will be Tier 2 and Tier 3 software support to the S2P (Software Services Platform). This includes software discrepancy (DR) investigation and corrections, and deployment support.



Location: Chantilly, VA



Clearance Requirement:


+ Must currently have and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Required Skills:


+ Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices and procedures applicable to large software systems to include:




+ Knowledge of FLCD to included engineering, integration, development, testing and deployment


+ Understanding of software discrepancy (DR) investigation and corrections, and deployment support


+ Recent System Administration on Linux and/or Windows systems


+ Understanding of automated software testing, automated software builds, continuous integration and deployment




Required education and experience:

Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics, Physics or related field (STEM degree) from an accredited university and up to 2 (two) years of prior relevant experience



Desired skills:

AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Atlassian product knowledge (admin perspective), and SQL and NoSQL database engineering and administration
