The Bundles and Upsell team within Amazon Devices is looking for an experienced, results-oriented, full stack software engineer capable of building world class customer experiences on the Amazon Retail Website across all worldwide marketplaces. We are looking for a candidate that is creative and innovative, and takes great pride in both the deep technical contribution and the positive business results of their work. We own highly scalable and robust platforms to provide the best shopping experience for buying Amazon devices, including Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, Echo, Fire TV, and range of other devices that touches all the pages on Amazon.com.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible to lead some of the key strategic initiatives on the Bundles and Upsell roadmap that will involve getting your hands dirty with machine learning and Amazon's personalization engine called Percolate, navigate and digest through petabytes of sales and customer data to identify trends and build models on top of it, build ML strategies by blending in customer segmentation and traffic patterns, and using some of the latest AWS tools and technologies to build the next generation of shopping experience for Devices customers. This engineer will also be responsible to lead and develop other talented engineers on the team. This position requires working closely with product managers, UX designers, and convert their vision and artifacts into technical solutions.
The software engineering position requires in-depth knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms, and good understanding of web development and client/ server architecture. This is a high-visibility and fast-paced environment where you will make a direct impact on customers and on the bottom line of the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results
·
· Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development from scratch
· Experience with machine learning models and dealing with big data technologies
·
· Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment is preferred
·
· Understanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and operational issues
·
· Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
· Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
