Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to<\/h2>

As a Software Engineer II you will:<\/strong><\/p>

 <\/p>

  • Implement and maintain internal compiling and deployment automation<\/li>
  • Automate and improve internal processes to assist in rapid software development<\/li>
  • Support Test Engineers in connecting automated tests to build automation<\/li>
  • Develop installers for desktop/server deployments including database installations<\/li>
  • Continuously improve and refine the build & deployment process<\/li>
  • Design and implement the development, staging and production environments<\/li>
  • Develop and improve our monitoring and observability tooling<\/li>
  • Performance and integration testing of databases and web services<\/li>
  • Research emerging tools, trends and methodologies<\/li><\/ul>

     As a Team Member you will:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Participate in all team meetings and ceremonies in direct collaboration with other sites, provide input and feedback, take ownership on identified improvements.<\/li>
    • Actively participate in learning and sharing activities either during informal or formal training and demos.<\/li>
    • Demonstrate continuous technical improvement.<\/li><\/ul>

      The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following<\/h2>

      Education:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

      • You have a bachelors degree (preferably in a science related subject or in engineering) or equivalent experience.<\/li><\/ul>

        What skills / experience will make you a successful Software Engineer at TA Instruments:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

        • 3+ years experience in software development<\/li>
        • Software build automation tools<\/li>
        • Version Control Systems: Git, SVN<\/li>
        • System performance testing<\/li>
        • Scripting language experience (Python/bash/Powershell)<\/li>
        • Windows OS<\/li>
        • Database administration and installation<\/li>
        • Internet Information Services (IIS) <\/li>
        • InstallShield /MSI installers for deployment on windows desktop and/or windows server<\/li>
        • Collaborate across time zones with remote teams<\/li>
        • Worked within fast paced, innovative company and able to balance the need for¬†rapid delivery¬†with¬†stability of systems,¬†maintained through procedures and documentation<\/li><\/ul>

          The following criteria are desirable:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

          • Docker, Kubernetes, Containers<\/li>
          • Testing tools (Selenium, REST tools)<\/li>
          • Worked within a .NET (C#, .Net Core) development environment<\/li>
          • Experience of¬†microservices architectures<\/li>
          • Serverless Infrastructure<\/li>
          • Issue and project tracking software (Jira)<\/li>
          • AWS or Azure pipelines for CI/CD<\/li>
          • Virtualization (Containers, VMs), Zephyr)<\/li>
