**Job Description**

As our newest Software Architecture Analyst, you will deliver architectural solutions in accordance with Office of the CTO policies and processes. In the Software Architect position, you will partner with other architects to develop, specify and communicate Office of the CTO solution architectures, technology plans, products, and services.


Additional Responsibilities of the Software Architecture Analyst:

- Provides administrative support for and coordination of architecture delivery activities.

- Assists in the creation of project-level architectures for applications, integrations, and technology.

- Assists in the design and modification of components for new and existing IT applications.

- Designs, supports and deploys mechanisms to enhance, refine, and deliver the architecture vision.

- Develops business models to guide architecture development.

- Manages the architecture governance activities associated with ensuring solution compliance.

- Helps identify risks and proactively works to remediate technical debt.

- Ensures solutions are well-formed and aligned with corporate and Office of the CTO strategies.

- Contributes to and maintains a curated representation of CVS Healths software architecture.

- Studies and documents architectural frameworks, standards, and reference material.

- Performs research and development activities for the Office of the CTO.

- Participates in current IT environment health analysis.

- Participates in opportunity and product positioning assessments.

- Provides lab and vendor activity support.

- Uses knowledge of internal and external trends to anticipate and proactively respond to future customer, industry and information technology needs.

- Uses business and technical knowledge to effectively communicate architecture to multiple levels of the organization.


**Required Qualifications**

3+ years of experience in information systems development or implementation, preferably including:

- Experience with object-oriented modeling principles (inheritance, polymorphism) and methods (use cases, sequence diagrams, etc.)

- Experience with architectural abstractions and design patterns

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills


**Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience with any of the following approaches: Agile/Scrum development and management, the Scaled Agile Framework, iterative and incremental development, and/or continuous integration and delivery

- Basic knowledge of technologies such as: mobile/web frameworks, omnichannel experience design, hybrid cloud, security and privacy, action arbitration, IoT, event streaming, AI/machine learning, blockchain, consents, preferences, microservices, containerization, APIs, SOA, and/or messaging


**Education**

Verifiable bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.

Degree in computer science or a closely related field strongly preferred.
