Yulista Tactical Services (Y-TAC) is seeking a full-time first-line supervisor of aircraft mechanics, installers and repairers for work at the Navy Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East in Cherry Point, NC. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of Y-TAC personnel performing Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) on Navy rotary/fixed wing and vertical lift aircraft. Aircraft include: H-1, H-53, V-22, AV-8, F/A-18, F-35, EA-6B, as well as engines including: The F402, T58, T64, T400, T700, and GE-38. Experience with one or more of these systems is highly desirable. The First-Line Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers for the FRC East contract at their assigned location. This position is a contingent hire upon award of a contract.


  • Perform all local management actions associated with his/her employees, to include but not limited to, investigations and reports arising from any quality defect notices issued against contractor employees, verification of time sheets, and introduction and indoctrination of new employees.
  • Oversee individual worker production and ensure the quality of completed work. Ensure subordinate maintenance and trades personnel accurately perform maintenance and repair work.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • The First-Line Supervisor may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Manage program and project reporting to include daily reports, timekeeping, environmental and permit compliance.
  • Implement company policies such as attendance, overtime, safety, environmental, quality, and training policies for the site workforce.


This job has direct reports and supervisory responsibilities. This position supervises employees on a daily basis. The candidate should be well-experienced in supervising, hiring, firing, scheduling, controlling projects and managing personnel.


  • Experience working in a Depot Maintenance facility is desired. Experience working in a DoD Programmed Depot Maintenance facility is preferred. Experience working in a U.S. Navy Programmed Depot Maintenance facility is most preferred.
  • Possess leadership and management skills and have a proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
  • FAA A&P Certificate desired.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, scheduling software, job costing software and word processing software desirable.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Routinely interacts with external contacts such as customers, vendors, shipping companies, etc.
  • Ability to learn and understand Y-TAC corporate policies and procedures.
  • Must represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be trustworthy will handle confidential information routinely.
  • Maintain proper and effective communication with government leadership, customers, and project participants.
  • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to communicate information clearly to others.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Ability to follow a process.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate project plans and drawings.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of documented experience in Aerospace and/or Aircraft maintenance procedures as a Site Supervisor.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
