Join us as a Site Manager, Technical Assistance and youll be looking at a career-defining role based at our Chicago OHare Airport site.


As a Site Manager, Technical Assistance, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership responsibility and accountability for the success of a small Service Delivery Center (SDC). The incumbent will act as primary Bombardier representative to the customer and community, demonstrating the highest level of ethical professionalism and delivering the message that Bombardier Transportation is the global leader in the transportation industry.



  • Lead a team directly with no leadership hierarchy, at the SDC. Adapts leadership style to suit one-to-one interactions.

  • Maintain a constant one-to-one presence with all employees across all shifts; routinely engages the staff. 

  • Develop team to maximum capability within constraints of Technician ability.

  • Maintain overall accountability for talent management and development of the SDC

  • Recognize skill and encourages development outside the SDC when appropriate. 

  • Define, communicate, and provide a true safety culture, in the absence of a Site Safety Professional.

  • Conscious of budgets and controls necessary to achieve financial targets.

  • Maintain a rapport with the Customer (usually first level Contract Manager) for harmonious day-to-day relationship, earning the trust of the Customer.

  • Is a local technical expert on the local system and contract.

  • Liaison between Customer and others in Bombardier.

  • Facilitates customer needs and questions.   

  • Remove internal and external roadblocks so others may solve problems from minor to the most complex situations.

  • Exhibit exceptional leadership skills in an a technical/maintenance environment.

  • Available for on-call shifts, as needed.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
