Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes nine primary care sites, 33 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. The network also includes 12 community medicine sites providing care to disenfranchised New Yorkers, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center that offers educational, vocational, and other social support programs. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Site Manager.


The Site Manager oversees and directs the clinical practice and financial operations of the BH service sites within the Family Health Centers (FHC) at NYU Langone . Offers strong organizational skills, is a innovative and creative problem solver, and able to work successfully and independently. The site manager works closely and in collaboratively with the Site Medical Directors and Site Directors, and leadership team to achieve the Center's financial and operational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the FHC under the guidance of the Site Director.
  • Assists the Site Director in the development of the center's vision and strategic plans, as well as executing the recommendations and initiatives set by leadership.
  • Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve and maintain desired performance targets in the areas of patient care, clinical and financial operations, revenue cycle, patient experience, and quality performance.
  • Selects, assigns, supervises and evaluates clinical and administrative support staff.
  • Oversees personnel administration and performance management with the human resources department.
  • Collaborates with FHC Leadership and RED+F to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, and enforcement of emergency action plans when necessary.
  • Ensures clinical and administrative information systems operate effectively and collaborates with FHC Site Director, Leadership and MCIT to offer recommendations that enhance the clinical operations and business activities within the Center.
  • Works cooperatively with appropriate departments across the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, NYU Langone Health System.
  • Works closely with Site Director to carry out marketing outreach and health education activities to promote patient compliance and access to care.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Resolves patient complaints and monitors patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Assist in troubleshooting institutional issues as they relate to the FHC.
  • Oversees scheduling to ensure adequate staffing. Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Site Director
  • Assists Site Director with site's financial management including development of annual operating budgets and participation in business development initiatives.
  • In conjunction with Site Director, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals and changing direction as needed.
  • Oversees the business office functions of the center and serves as primary contact with revenue cycle, managed care and finance.
  • Assists Site Director in tracking and reporting operating and financial results and helps develops strategies to address unfavorable performance that promote achieving the centers desired goals and outcomes
  • Performs reconciliation of vendor invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for Payroll functions and changes as directed.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and resourcing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in ambulatory care, managed care, health administration or related field.
  • Successful track record in staff management.
  • Demonstrated success in working with physicians.
  • Experience with IT systems used in medical management.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
