ServiceNow Technical Manager

The Role:

In this role, you will be the primary lead of AMDs Service Management team specifically working within the ServiceNow platform directing project implementation, development teams, day to day support and configuration teams. One of your main responsibilities will be to help advise the overall governance of all processes and procedures within Service Management scope. You will provide in-house expertise in managing the ServiceNow platform, its modules, and leading the teams with each new release and its capabilities.

You are highly organized with great attention to details, and are passionate about problem solving/troubleshooting to find creative solutions. You are a polished communicator with impressive presentation skills. Collaboration and team work are key, as well as ability to effectively lead others.

Key Responsibilities:

As the ServiceNow SME and technical leader, you will work with the business units to assess their requirements in order to provide design and technical solutions for module implementations. You'll also architect integrations with ServiceNow using LDAP, Single Sign-on, Mid server, Web-services, ServiceNow Apps, and Email. You will lead a team of developers working on improvements/implementation related to ServiceNow.

You'll also lead a technical configuration team maintaining day to day configuration fixes, application maintenance and house-keeping activities. You will track and review SLAs and KPIs, as well as manage trouble-shooting technical issues related to ServiceNow application configuration and other technical issues

You will identify automation opportunities and make recommendation for improvements to ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, CMDB and Service Catalog Requests. Will oversee ITSM ServiceNow releases which may include system/integration testing, UAT, and validation (ATF).

Preferred Experience:

  • Solid experience in management, implementation and architecting of ServiceNow for enterprise companies is a must. You should have experience as a Technical Manager or Lead for ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of Performance Analytics and general dashboards is key.
  • Implementation experience on various ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service, Knowledge, Asset, ITOM, Performance Analytics, ATF, PPM, APM, etc)
  • Experience directing¬†all aspects of platform administration including configuration, monitoring, management, tuning, and security of all ServiceNow instances.
  • Experience managing the team's troubleshooting production and test issues; review root cause analysis, recommend corrective action, and lead the resolution efforts.
  • Ability to work with off-shore managed server providers
  • Experience working with CMDB data models and populating CMDB using the ServiceNow Discovery tool and other 3rd party tools like SCCM, NAC, etc.
  • Detailed understanding of ITIL v3 or v4 processes (v4 preferred)

Academic Credentials:

  • A BS CS (or similar) is preferred, but not required.
  • ITIL and ServiceNow Certification (preferred)
