Purpose and Objective: 


Ariba, Inc seeks a Senior Solution Sales Executive at our Downers Grove, IL location (and various client sites nationwide) to achieve overall revenue goal. 


Expectations and Tasks:


Create a complete territory business plan that generates at least 3x their quota in pipeline opportunity. Responsible to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and drive strategy. Develop an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for all of SAP's targeted line of business  solutions (CRM, HCM, SCM, GRC, EPM, Business Intelligence, etc.) and services to potential customers & prospects in that territory. Work with the Sales Manager and team to develop and execute programs to drive pipeline & close deals.  Work with the Regional VAT to educate target accounts on the solution set and conducts account planning for strategic deals. Uncover and run sales cycles based opportunities as directed by the Regional Sales Lead. Work with VAT team on sales campaigns. Lead efforts to establish, develop, and expand market share and revenue attainment within named accounts. Work to attain various sales objectives related to securing new business opportunities within named customers. Develop sales best practices securing repeatable and expansive opportunities across named accounts. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study and 6 years of experience required.  The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.


Work Experience:


Experience must include 4 years as a controller or CPA. Experience must also include SAP Financial Solutions; Build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-Level executives including CFO, CPO and CEO; Develop and maintain technical and marketing knowledge of the entire SAP Ariba Spend Management product line; Develop, share and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all key competitors; Interact with the current sales organization and all other SAP Ariba Colleagues in pursuit of overall customer satisfaction; Participate, involve and interact  inapplicable industry conferences both internal and external with C-Level Executives; Develop new opportunities; Connect trends in the procurement/supply chain field with business objectives and make those tangible to both internal and external customers; Business acumen of understanding the situation and leveraging the position within SAP to future the objectives with our customers and prospects. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
