Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer

As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll work on critical security applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, highly-available RESTful services and back-end Java based systems. Our programming languages has been Java, Python, and Scala, and we are big fans on building products using Open Source packages (JS Angular , Spring Boot/Scheduler, Spark) and Inner Source Components (Bogie, etc). We are also closely aligned with best practices of agile software development such as pair programming, mobbing, test-driven design, and frequent and incremental code deliveries.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelors Degree

-At least 1 year of experience in Github, Maven or Jenkins

-At least 3 years' experience in Java programming

-At least 2 years experience coding in AngularJS or NodeJS

Preferred Qualifications:

-1+ year of experience in AWS, Azure or GCP

-1+ year of experience with Linux or Shell Scripting

-1+ year of Spark or Kafka experience

-1+ year of experience with Docker

-1+ year of experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber or Ruby.
