L3Harris is seeking an experienced RF engineer to perform as a key contributor on its engineering team to delivery high quality RF systems and solutions to its customers. This role involves defining, deriving, and analyzing technical requirements for a variety of ground, maritime, airborne, and space communications systems and applications, and developing and evaluating systems and solutions for highly advanced platforms, environments, and missions. The engineer will participate in RF topside modeling and analyses, collaborating with other RF engineers to perform 3D electromagnetic modelling and evaluate platform-level line-of-sight blockage, co-site interference, and other electromagnetic environmental effects. The engineer will also work across L3Harris sites and commercial vendors to identify and implement available technologies, and also specify and procure custom solutions as needed. The successful candidate(s) will possess:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering; MS preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of RF experience, including Radar and EW systems, phased arrays and antennas, and communications equipment
  • Relevant RF design experience with Radar and communications systems and components preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with DoD platforms and systems preferred
  • Proficiency in 3d RF Electromagnetic modeling using industry-standard RF design tools and techniques; ANSYS HFSS or Altair FEKO tool knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in performing link budget analyses of RF systems, including paramaters such as Gain, Noise Figure, Noise Power, Intercept Point, output power, etc.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance required
