Role Overview:
We are currently searching for a Program Support Specialist to join our Mission Systems Propulsion team. This position is located in Fairfield, CA and is responsible for supporting the team in all activities associated with the pursuit, order, capture, and execution of existing and future programs.
The Mission Systems Military Business, in particular the legacy and development programs, continues to be a catalyst for new business growth with large multi-year contracts that need managing and some of our biggest pursuit opportunities on the horizon. Advanced Concept Ejection Seats (ACES) is credited with 680 lives saved! Being part of the program support specialists team allows you to also be an integral team member of the Value Stream Management office contributing to the continued success of the business and to start developing the skill set required to support the Value Stream Leaders in these opportunities.
Emphasis is focused on supporting the program execution teams with a variety of activities such as: risk management, pursuits, financial reporting, customer interaction/action reporting, contract support and management of CDRLs, subcontract management support and all levels of coordination with the core program team. This position coordinates activities across the Collins shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services and will require external customer interface. External customer interface contacts are typically first level Value Stream Leadership, engineering, and procurement agents.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Receives minimal instruction on day to day work assignments. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel on issues. Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues.
Provides direction and oversight to ensure that issues/problems of moderate scope and complexity are avoided and/or resolved.
Responsible for managing projects which are of moderate risk and complexity or a portion of a larger project.
Deadline Driven Deliverables have hard deadlines and are a key part of delivering a positive internal and external customer experience. Capable of tracking and executing to deadlines independently.
Persistence Dealing with cross-enterprise coordination on obsolete components requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience
OR
In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be willing to travel 10-20% domestically to the Fairfield, CA location if located remotely
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Prior SAP experience related to the processes associated with Sales Order execution, status of factory hardware delivery forecasts, and shipping
Prior experience tracking and forecasting Customer Repairs and coordinating with order administration
Prior external customer support/interface experience and awareness of ordering and demand planning tools and practices
Prior Risk Management experience
Familiar with Collins Management System including gate artifacts, data analysis for sales forecasts, ensuring resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities, etc are available for the program
