Job Summary

The Water Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Program Manager , an expert in water resources and civil infrastructure design, for immediate employment. This individual will be a creative, highly talented leader responsible for the oversight and management of large, complex, flood control, dam, levee, and other water resources design projects.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established dams and levee-oriented career, with strong client contacts, relationships and engineering experience with local and Federal dam/levee clients across the United States.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts as primary point of contact with clients and has full responsibility for project delivery

  • Plans, directs, and supervises operations included in large, complex projects or programs

  • Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs

  • May be responsible for Project teams that include 10 or more members often representing multiple disciplines or business lines

  • Provide leadership in the areas of design, analysis, and construction of various water resources / heavy civil infrastructure design projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution

  • 12+ years of experience in the evaluation, planning, design and construction of dams/levees and other water resources facilities

  • Technical or management progression within engineering for federal and local government contracts/clients

  • Experience in operations and staff management

  • Experience in the analysis, design, and construction of dams, levees and other flood control structures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering

  • Professional Engineering License

  • 20+ years of progressive experience within the field highly desired

  • Personnel management, mentoring, leadership skills

  • Strong client contacts and relationships, especially among dam/levee clients across the United States.

  • Experience managing the design or construction of large or complex heavy civil / infrastructure projects in the Water Resources Sector
