In Ireland, Abbott employs almost 3,000 people across 10 sites. Abbott has six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. It has commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin. Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of health care products including diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic pharmaceuticals. Abbott has been operating in Ireland since 1946. 
 

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Product Manager Role and this position will involve the following:

Primary Function

Maximise the division’s sales & Margin by ensuring that Marketing programs are aligned with the organization objectives

Main Responsibilities

  • Set strategy and implement promotional plans for the Oral Nutrition product range, based on thorough analysis of the market, environment and competitive trends, to drive HCP (Healthcare Professional’s) recommendation and use of our products thereby growing sales, margin & share
  • Recognizes market trends and uses market research to anticipate future directions of the brand
  • Develop promotional campaigns and all associated support materials for the Sales Team business objectives which are fully aligned to the brand strategy for the Oral Nutrition Brands
  • Coaches sales team on the successful tactical execution of the brand strategy
  • Connects the needs of the brand to customer need in order to drive opportunities
  • Provide direction and leadership for agencies on contract to Abbott maximizing and measuring performance and output.
  • Analyze on a continuing basis the sales and market share performance of products and make recommendations for corrective action as need arises
  • Liase with other departments such as Finance, Supply Chain and others on matters relating to products i.e. supply, pricing,  etc
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with professional customers such as opinion leaders and other relevant business and commercial customers as appropriate
  • Work with the Global Marketing team to ensure key marketing campaigns are aligned to organizational objectives
  •  Participate in the sales forecasting process and monitoring of stock requirements
