+ Keys to success include the ability to understand the Elans business model and how we sustain our competitive advantages within the rapidly changing payments industry, to be strategic in driving Elans business development efforts, and manage multiple tasks. + Leading the deal process with internal parties such as finance, risk, legal, compliance, etc. to set partnership terms, support contract negotiations, develop in source versus outsource analysis, communicating offers and understanding the differences in various proposals along with the related impacts on profitability for both Elan and our prospects. + Able to manage multiple projects across departments in a fast-paced environment; able to sell both up and down within the organization. + Collaborating with Sale to move opportunities through the deal stage process. + Analyze loan portfolio purchase opportunities, identifying portfolio trends and profitability, and collaborating with sales and finance teams to determine optimal financial terms that meet internal objectives and the needs of our prospective partners. + Create and present financial pro forma forecasts and scenarios to prospective financial institutions detailing performance under a traditional credit card payments insourced model verses an outsourced credit card payments issuing model. + Shepherd deals through our due diligence process with compliance, risk, and legal teams to gain executive approvals and complete the closing process. + Perform ad hoc research to analyze industry trends, competitors, portfolio key performance drivers, and various model assumptions to support business objectives. + Maintain business development processes and procedures. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Eight to ten years of related work experience Preferred Skills/Experience - Additional Skills/Experience: + Knowledge of loan portfolio analysis andvaluation is a plus + Understanding of financial institution financialstatements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. + Possess excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, including creation of Word Documents and PowerPointpresentations; + Able to create excel spreadsheet tools to driveinformative decision support tools; + Ability to make critical decisions independentlyand work well within a team environment; + Familiar with GAAP accounting standards + Familiar with Banking and Credit Union industryregulation **Job:** Accounting / Finance **Primary Location:** Minnesota-MN-Minneapolis **Shift:** 1st - Daytime **Average Hours Per Week:** 40 **Requisition ID:** 190021271 **Other Locations:** Pennsylvania-PA-Horsham U.S. Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
