Job Overview Qualcomm IT is looking for Manager, Global Networking based out of Bangalore to lead a team of experienced Network Engineers. This team is responsible for providing Tier 3 support for Qualcomm global network that span across 5 continents and over 100 offices. The team is responsible for design, architecture, implementation and operations of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Datacenter Networking and Network Security services. As Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Network engineers local in Bangalore and collaborate with US, Ireland, China and Taiwan Teams. The culture at Qualcomm requires managers to be technically strong and you are expected to dive deep with your engineers solving challenging networking problems. Principal duties and responsibilities: Experience in managing large scale enterprise heterogeneous network infrastructure. Experience working in global matrix environment. Former Tech support and Network Engineer experience. Demonstrated ability to automate basic tasks in Perl, Python and understanding of DevOps Experience in SDWAN, Routing Protocols, SDN, ITIL, Automation and Telemetry Working independently with little supervision. Providing supervision to direct reports. Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; Errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; Errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct. Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents. Some financial accountability (e.g., manages a small budget, has input into P&L). Exposure to budget forecasting to help with planning and execution of the team goals. Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions). Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short or long-term memory. Using deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required. Exercising substantial creativity is needed to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives. Strong load balancing knowledge and experience is a must. Co-ordinate with Vendors/OEMs/ ISPs for various Projects and deliverables. Service Operations and Project delivery are prime responsibilities. Motivates direct team to accept change and adapt priorities in order to meet changing demands. Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work. Communicates performance expectations and monitors and evaluates performance of members of team to ensure plans are met. Allocates workload (which includes key decisions, project management, and resource allocation) among team members by taking into consideration employee availability, skill set, and current workload when making assignments. Develops, coaches, and mentors experienced and senior members of the team and provides development assignments. Manages the performance of team members by meeting regularly with each member to discuss current and future state of key projects, identifies developmental opportunities, and evaluates performance based on key metrics. Leads teams in the implementation of standardized tools, templates, and processes. Identifies and promotes a unifying vision throughout the team
Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of IT-relevant work experience OR 8+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.

* 2+ years experience leading projects/programs.
Preferred Qualifications Relevant experience of 12+ years with B. Tech./B.E. degree in Electronics & Telecomm or Computer Science. Post-graduation is a plus. Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, ITIL is a big plus. Should have Ansible Network Programming skills and exposure to cumulus and white box switches. Should have Prior Hands-on/Design Experience on Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, Citrix, CUMULUS product lines. Excellent verbal & written communication skills along with proven track record of success. Proven leader who combines technical expertise with well-developed business acumen. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills leading to effective decision making. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a complex environment with competing priorities. Ability to deliver quantitative metrics of the environment to help with planning and execution of service delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
Education Requirements * Bachelor's degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.
