In this exciting role as a Sr Medical
Claims Analyst, you will have primary focus responsibility to work with the
Data Analytics team to design and develop new data and analytical solutions to
help MCMS make smarter decisions to deliver better care. The primary focus will
be in-depth analysis of medical and Rx claims data related to Payor customers, performing
statistical analysis, analyzing and understanding cost and utilization patterns
and trends, applying data visualization techniques and building high quality data
systems integrated with our products.

The Data Analytics and Reporting
team is a group within the MCMS Technology and Innovation department at MCMS.
The team is responsible for all data management and intake processes for payor
claims data, customer and internal reporting, data warehouse, data marts, ETL
processes, Tableau dashboards, data science activities, analytical solutions
and sales support.


**A Day in the Life**


Responsibilities may include
the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Collaborates with variousdepartments on the design, documentation, testing, and implementation of claimsdata analytics solutions.

+ Develops systems for organizingclaims data to analyze, identify and report data and trends.

+ Manages data management issuesby reviewing protocols for cross-project consistency, and identifyingstandards to meet customer and MCMS objectives.

+ Develops data quality plans.

+ Develops analytics solutionsusing statistical techniques, machine learning and algorithm development.

+ Provide early strategic inputinto design focused on data management and data usage.

+ Review and resolve datadiscrepancies for standardized data validation systems and procedures.

+ Prepares reports for internaland eternal customers.


Other Responsibilities:


+ Business analysis skills to gather and documentbusiness requirements.

+ Agile story and task tracking for project managementof deliverables.


**Must Have (Minimum Requirements):**


**To be considered for this role, the minimum requirements must beevident on your resume.**


+ Bachelors degreeand minimum of 4 years of experience working with medical claims orclinical data analysis/analytics/reporting or advanced degree with 2 yearsof experience.


**Nice to Have (PreferredQualifications):**


+ Extensive experience analyzing medical andpharmacy claims data

+ Experience with medical coding systems; SnoMed,ICD, CPT, Omaha System

+ Coding with Python and/or R

+ Statistical and machine learning libraries andmethods

+ Tableau reporting

+ Degreein engineering, life sciences, or related medical/scientific field.

+ Experienceat Medtronic or within a medical insurance company.

+ Proficiency in MS Officeapplications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Project (or similar schedulingsoftware), project management techniques and tools; andweb-basedapplications.

+ Data science, machinelearning and algorithm development a plus
