The Senior Materials Manager is responsible for the activities related to purchasing, materials and production planning, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. Maintains an organizational infrastructure that can respond well to a dynamic environment. Implement and monitor adherence to policies developed in accordance with overall company guidelines that maintain professionalism, regulatory compliance and product quality. Establishes and implements strategy and leads teams to meet or exceed product availability and inventory goals. Creates positive work environment to enhance team member engagement and productivity.

**A Day in the Life:**

Reports directly to Site leader and works with senior management team on implementing strategy, continuous improvement and site objectives.

Manages production and materials planning team to maintain high service levels/product availability and optimized inventory levels.

Coordinates with sourcing and quality teams to maintain an effective supplier performance program to meet ISO and FDA requirements.

Serves as the primary contact for product availability capacity information and plays a key role in the introduction of new products into the facility.

Manages shipping and receiving areas with focus on compliance to regulatory/industry requirements, delivery performance and budget adherence.

Manages the administration of procurement supply agreements, product licenses, Purchase Orders and other contracts for MRO, production services, and finished goods. Ensures processes and procedures are in place to adhere to agreements and TCs.

Supports the information systems where required to effectively monitor departmental activities and supply performance.

Develops implements and administers supply base management programs in conjunction with Supplier Quality Management, Concurrent Engineering, Design Quality, Regulatory and Operations. Supply base management programs include but are not limited to:

oSupplier classification

oSupplier controls

Performance metrics including but not limited to:

oInventory targets

oDelivery performance

oQuality performance

oCost performance

oLead-time performance

oRegulatory compliance

Ensures supply planning is complete and alternative supply options are available and implemented as needed

Ensures sufficient raw and component material is planned to meet production demand.

Develops and implements aggressive supply management cost down programs

Assists in establishment of the policies and procedures required to effectively execute the Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing production and materials management planning processes.

Responsible for Supply Chain Planning and Manufacturing Master Scheduling to ensure sufficient product is procured/planned/scheduled to meet overall demand including but not limited to:

oFinished product

oMRO services

oProduction services

oRaw and component materials

Completes monthly management reporting of departmental activities

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management and/or materials planning (purchasing) with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

**Nice to Have**

MBA Graduate Degree

Experience in the development and administration of supply base management programs

Strong understanding of MRP, inventory, materials, and scheduling management in a lean environment

Working knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (including but not limited to: ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD 93/42 EEC, PAL, CMDR, and 21 CFR Part 820). Understands impact of compliance to the requirements and how it relates to their job, or is aware of resources available to them to assist with determining impact.

Experience with lean production planning and inventory management

Knowledge of supplier base available to Neurovascular manufacturing industry is a plus

CPM certification

SAP software experience

APICS Certification
