KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join ourpractice.


Responsibilities:


+ Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advisory services, planning, technology, and controversies

+ Evaluate information presented on property tax returns before, during, and after preparation

+ Analyze property tax considerations/impacts related to business restructuring or due diligence projects such as real estate transfer tax

+ Review assessment notices to identify obsolescence or other valuation issues leading to potential tax saving opportunities

+ Assist multi-state companies with property tax controversies, which includes preparing protests and representing the client at property tax hearings and at appeal meetings

+ Research, write, and review client tax advice relating to real and personal property tax


Qualifications:


+ A minimum of seven years of experience in handling property tax appeals and providing property tax research and technical advice on property tax issues

+ Bachelor's degree or J.D., LL.M. in taxation, or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, and/or Real Estate

+ Experience with various other taxes and their impact on property tax

+ Strong knowledge of the development, planning, and execution related to property tax

+ Experience with personal property tax compliance
