Our Senior Manager, Medicare Sales motivates and drives a team of Medicare Sales Representatives who sell individual health plan products and educate beneficiaries on our services in a field setting. Our teams also sell Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription plans, and more. Responsibilities In this field position, you will; coach, mentor, educate, discipline and train a team of sales individuals. The Senior Manager, Medicare Sales must have a solid understanding of the market they serve, how to resolve operational problems and provide creative solutions to increase sales while following CMS guidelines. This role also involves cultivating, maintainingand buildingrelationships with Humanas customers, both internal and external business partners, along with the communityweservethroughtelephonic, virtual and face-to-face interactions with individuals and groups. Other responsibilities include developing marketing budgets, looking for branding opportunities and guiding a large contingent of independent/contracted agents. Required Qualifications + High School Diploma + Active Health & Life Insurance Licenses for Washington + 6 or more years of experience working in the insurance industry + 2 or more years of sales management experience + Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools as well as building relationships with communities and medical providers + Excellent public speaking skills + Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint + Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community + This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + Prior experience in the health solutions industry + Prior experience working in the Medicare + Prior experience with medical, life insurance and dental product positioning + Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write without limitations or assistance in both English and any additional language Additional Information + Upon offer acceptance you must be able to complete and pass the AHIP certification (paid for by Humana) + Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
