We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a Senior Manager of Learning & Development to join our Human Resources & Compliance function in Richmond, Virginia. This role will report to Altrias Director of Learning & Development (L&D), who has responsibility for Altrias entire enterprise L&D strategy and execution. The enterprise L&D team currently will have six members. Altrias enterprise Learning & Development team will design, deliver, and measure programs and training that build stronger leaders at all levels, grow Our Leadership Advantage, and help ensure we have the talent and capabilities to achieve our future business goals. This position will be one of three for adult learning experts with proven ability to craft offerings that develop necessary skills, appeal meaningfully to end users, and accelerate culture change. Altrias employees already are a competitive advantage, and we are looking to increase that advantage by building out our enterprise L&D team and investing significant resources in this center of excellence. This role will help reshape how Altria attracts, develops, and engages the talent needed to maximize our core businesses while innovating for the future.Your Impact: Help transform Altrias enterprise L&D strategy, approach, and overall value to the organizationDesign and deliver programs, tools, and resources focused on a particular part of the enterprise-wide strategy and aligned with business/organizational goalsIdentify, assess, and contract with external partners to provide L&D support that enables a full offering of effective servicesPartner with other team members, ALCS HR Talent Analytics, and other stakeholders to measure effectiveness of L&D offeringsEngage with functional L&D contacts and coordinate offerings to ensure optimal experience for end usersSpecific Skills:What we seek:7+ years of experience in L&D or related Human Resources functionBachelors degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training & Development, General Business, or comparable fieldAdvanced degree in Organizational Development or comparable field strongly preferredAdditional HR or line experience also preferredSolid strategic thinking, consulting, and influencing capability, coupled with the interest and ability to understand Altrias business at a deep levelOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, including first-rate presentation and employee engagement skillsAbility to connect enterprise L&D strategy to functional efforts and collaborate to create a seamless, complete L&D offering to the end userWell-developed project management, vendor management, contracting, and budgeting skillsStrong knowledge of adult learning theory, best practices, and trendsStrong proficiency in change managementIntellectual curiosity and willingness to try innovative ideasOne who naturally operates with a sense of urgency and has ability to balance effective collaboration with independent actionSkilled in group process and facilitation techniques; Able to design meetings and facilitate groups effectivelyTravel may be required Become Part of Altria:Altria is a Fortune 200 company, proud to call Richmond, Virginia our home.
