Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Global Security Engagement and Awareness has the overall responsibility for enhancing cybersecurity engagement and awareness efforts aimed at maintaining a cybersecurity conscious culture. This individual will report directly to the Director of Security Strategy, Delivery and  Engagement, who reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The role's primary objective is to reduce risk by ensuring all team members and business units across the organization understand their accountability to protecting the digital assets of the company. This will be accomplished by engaging leadership through development and delivery of cybersecurity programs, plans, and materials and create awareness of cyber security acumen of the organization at the direction of Senior IT SRC Leadership. Additionally, this role will be the lead resource for engagement with teams and external partners to develop and deliver engagement and talent pipeline initiatives.



• Create talent pipelines inside and outside of the organization through partnerships
• Foster employee and enterprise stakeholder engagement
• Deliver training to employees across departments and locations (Chicago, Houston and remote sites)
• Collaborate with security leaders to consolidate and socialize strategy, and drive execution
• Develop Cyber Security Engagement materials including, PowerPoints, job aids, tutorials, and procedures
• Manage the SRC monthly metrics and reporting program; identify and implement ongoing progress to mature metrics, managing CISO requests to support executive leadership requests
• Create and maintain cyber security talent pipelines, diversity, and cyber team engagement program
• Create and maintain internal knowledgebase in Microsoft SharePoint that can be accessible to IT SRC organization, IT and the business
• Drive employee engagement each initiatives and events to promote strong culture
• Partner with Delivery & Engagement (D&E) and Organizational Change Management team to foster collaboration and to define training needs and opportunities
• Maintain and manage the operations of the corporations phishing tool


• Establish enterprise-wide education and awareness campaigns and programs, including phishing and targeted training
• Establish, execute, and evolve existing awareness programs in alignment with CISO and D&E Goals, Strategies, and Objectives
• Lead and conduct awareness activities in alignment with industry best practices, the Cybersecurity workforce roadmap, knowledge & Engagement analysis, and emerging CISO and D&E needs
• Conduct analysis and research of cybersecurity capabilities that improve the awareness programs to expand and evolve security messaging
• Lead, develop, and execute awareness activities leveraging a variety of teaching and delivery methods
• Develop, collect, and analyze metrics for awareness campaigns in terms of reach, impact, and change in behavior to determine effectiveness and influence strategy/direction
• Deliver monthly campaign metrics and reporting
• Work with D&E Director to regularly target communications to stakeholders on identified cybersecurity related topics
• Partner with other teams across the CISO organization (Incident response, red team, Identity & access, data security, risk and compliance, threat/intelligence, security technologies, project delivery) to enhance Cyber security awareness activities

• Bachelor or Master's degree (preferably in Computer Science or Cyber Security) or any combination of equivalent education, experience, and formal training that allows the candidate to meet the requirements of the job
• 8 â 10 years of experience working with and rolling out IT Security technologies in a large matrixed organization
• Strong leadership experience, capable of leading teams with multiple levels of skills (interns through lead members)
• Strong background in Information Security Services, Security Training and Awareness, Security Operations, Information Systems Service Management, IT audit, and/or IT Risk Management
• Must be self-directed, with strong organizational skills, with the ability to dynamically adjust efforts based upon priorities
• Ability to manage and coordinate all aspects of departmental operations including tactical & strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, resource allocation, coaching, mentoring, providing direction, delivering reviews, setting objectives, etc.
• Travel required minimum 30%
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
