The Senior IT Program Manager - Vendor Strategy Contracts will establish and develop strategic vendor and partner relationships and strive to integrate strategy and innovation needs into the strategic partner ecosystem. This position will partner with strategic vendors serving our global population, engage in deal strategy and tactical negotiation, manage specialized services supporting the function, and oversee the delivery of software asset management services performed on a global scale across the IT organization. This role supports key aspects and processes within the IT Management Operations leadership team and reports to the Senior Director of IT Business Management.


**A DAY IN THE LIFE**

Establish and develop strategic relationships with vendors and partners identified as key to achieving the IT strategy.

Conduct strategic deal planning, negotiation tactics management with Legal Sourcing.

Establishing maintaining service cost baselines, maintaining transparent IT service cost reporting, and regularly baselining market IT service delivery costs.

Managing expert services delivery (vendor specific, deal type, legal advice, negotiation strategy and delivery, etc.) directly supporting deal strategy execution.

Managing vendor contracts processes services that oversee creation, negotiation, execution, and compliance monitoring.

Elevating leading executive meetings, discussions, and operational reporting needs, and directly supporting deal negotiations by looking at what is occurring outside of Medtronic on creative deal structures, pricing, terms, and conditions.

Overseeing managed services in place to execute foundational software asset management processes (software license acquisition, license issuance, license entitlement management, reporting reconciliation, license purchase, surplus management).

Strategically aligning technology and services to be meet business needs, while achieving key strategies around modernization, simplification, and leverage across the Medtronic IT global landscape.

**MUST HAVE** (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelors degree

7+ years of experience with a bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree


**NICE TO HAVE** (Preferred Qualifications)

IT Strategy vendor and solution ecosystem development and alignment

Vendor relationship management strategies, tactics, and techniques

Vendor deal strategy creation and negotiation tactics

Experts services acquisition and management

Software asset management tactics and techniques to optimize efficiency and business outcomes

Full project lifecycle and a minimum of 3 complex projects of more than 2-year duration

Complex programs involving organization change and redesign

Strategic Alignment

Proven experience developing and implementing strategic goals

People Leadership

Virtual and matrix team management responsibilities

Strong relationship building and influence management

Facilitation

Proven ability to compartmentalize complex problems into manageable milestone and goals

Proven ability lead teams with diverse goals

Program Management experience in transformations involving significant organizational change
