You will provide leadership and oversight to the HSE&F function, activities and performance for the Urbana, OH site, establishing strong working relationships with the site leadership team and employees. You will be a key leader within the Urbana, OH site directing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards. You will report directly to the Site Leader/ Sr. Plant Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of HSE&F programs, management systems, and compliance obligations across site operations to ensure compliance with the applicable guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide HSEF guidance and technical support to operations and collaborate with external stakeholders such as business partners, contractors and suppliers on HSE&F matters and opportunities.
  • Lead a team of dedicated HSE&F professionals with responsibility for talent development and mentoring / coaching related to technical expertise and leadership capability of HSEF staff.
  • Deliver results through excellent collaboration, inspirational and influencing skills across the site, functions and at all levels in an intense, results oriented environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all HSE&F leading and lagging indicators while challenging existing processes with contemporary best industry practices. Ensure effective sharing and re-use of good practices across the site while measuring against internal and external benchmarks.
  • Establish and sustain a strong Management Operating System (MOS) to ensure the site achieves AOP commitments while continuously improving the business.
  • Direct the site HSEF AOP and business governance processes including the Assurance Letter process, compliance initiatives, governmental reporting and good practice knowledge-sharing.
  • Participate in Aerospace and Corporate HSEPS initiatives and integrate key strategic initiatives into the site processes as part of strategy deployment.
  • Facilitate the identification of capital funding for HSE&F projects for the site and assure that spending for these projects meets budget and schedule commitments in addition to achieving desired results.

    YOU MUST HAVE
    • Bachelor€™s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, or Environmental Science.
    • 5 plus years of progressive HSE&F leadership experience overseeing programs in a manufacturing environment.

      • Ability to champion and manage change through strong consultative and influencing skills.
