Senior HR Program Manager, AWS Employee Experience (BeXT)

Job summary
The AWS Employee Experience Team (BeXT) is looking for a Senior HR Program Manager who is thoughtful and curious to develop, coordinate, and roll out employee experience initiatives.
As a Senior Program Manager on the BeXT team, you will help design and coordinate high visibility research and ongoing initiatives to improve employee experiences with tools, processes, and policies that support all AWS employees.
The successful candidate will be a customer-obsessed self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize work.
Key job responsibilities
- Strategy Design: Collaborate with researchers and others in strategic planning discussions to coordinate and prioritize high impact interventions
- Research Support: Help establish and run qualitative research studies that capture employee experience pain points and generate actionable insights
- Business Requirements: Facilitate global workshops to coordinate the collection of global business requirements including identifying gaps between current and future-state experiences, and turn into detailed business requirements
- Communication: Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and periodic white papers
- Implementation: Roll out coordination, intervention, and assessment programs related to employee experience initiatives
About the team
The AWS Builder Experience or BeXT Team is a new initiative to reimagine HR and the employee experience at AWS. We work backwards from the employee to define a cohesive, human-centered experience, and then evolve the enabling technologies and business processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Management experience
- 8+ years of HR, Employee Experience, Organizational Culture, Process Improvement, or related experience
- Experience using survey tools and analysis products (e.g. Qualtrics)
- Experience developing business reports
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Business, IT, HR or related field
- PMP/PRINCE2, Six Sigma, Lean certification
- An unfailing passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our employees/customers.
- Passion for the role of research within an organization and the ability to drive organizational culture improvement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate varied stakeholders around a compelling vision.
- Ability to define, manage, and prioritize your own work, juggling multiple projects, possibly with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
- A sense of humor, pride in your work, passion for the customer, and the ability to gracefully give and receive feedback.
