We are looking to hire a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer with a background in JavaScript to join our team, working on a new Transaction Monitoring platform used across multiple businesses within the bank. Transaction monitoring focusses on Trades made by the bank.


You will work with the Data Scientists, Product Owners, Technical Leads/Architects and Business stakeholders to ensure we are meeting their requirements to develop and drive highly interactive Trade Surveillance Platform. You will take on a hands-on role and participate in design and development various web and backend components for the Transaction Monitoring Platform.


This is an exciting opportunity to work on an important project for the group, which will have huge impact on the business and our future design in this area.


You will also contribute to the teams strategy around development and deployment best practices.


**Key Responsibilities:**


+ Build and maintain the Transaction Monitoring suite ensuring timely delivery of work items in the sprint.

+ As part of the core team, ensure sub-teams adhere to our code quality and testing standards.

+ Evaluate and provide technical solutions to solve a variety of complex and interdependent processes.

+ Contribute to research and suggestions for new projects for the Transaction Monitoring and other projects in the Lab.

+ Evaluate and perform POCs on new strategic technical products and applications.


**Skills & Qualifications:**


+ Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and React.

+ Good understanding of Node.js.

+ Passionate about databases and worked in the past with SQL\NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Couchbase, etc.)

+ Passionate about streaming data and building APIs and visualisations around it.

+ Experience deploying fault-tolerant distributed systems on Linux, possibly in a cloud environment

+ Familiar with cloud computing concepts and DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).

+ Proven capability to interact with clients and deliver results, taking ideas to production
